  1. 1. My name is Olivia Colleen Davidson. I have no nickname.

    2. My birth was traumatic. After a fall down the basement stairs, my mother gave birth to me six weeks early. She died from internal injuries. I was in the hospital for months.

    3. Mother: Elizabeth Colleen Davidson (nee Richards) She was a receptionist at the local college. She enjoyed a filthy joke but couldn't tell one to save her life. She was tall and athletic.
Father: David Anthony Davidson. He owns a construction company and makes a really good living. He is currently married to Renee, a nurse he hired to help when Olivia was a newborn. He is overprotective of his daughters.

    4. I have two brothers that are full-blood siblings. The eldest is Kevin Davidson. He has a malignant dark streak and doesn't have a lot of friends. I'm closer to my brother Kyle. He is seven years older than me. He is about to be married to a woman that has become a close friend of mine. Kyle's best friend is Robert Kane. I have twin sisters also. We share the same father but we have different mothers. Janine and Janelle are four years younger than me. They are super popular. While I'm tall like my mom, the twins are little like their mom. And blonde.

    5. Since I'm going to culinary school in Chicago, I'm living with my brother Kyle. He is usually at this girlfriend's apartment so I've got the place to myself. It is a 2 bedroom brick house. I like it because there is a park at the end of the street and I can ride my bike on the trails. The other thing I like about the house is the kitchen. My dad redid it so I've got an industrial size oven that is perfect for cake baking.

(On a personal note, I haven't been here for a couple of days because I am the proud Great-Aunt of a perfect baby boy.)

  2. Hi Shelly,

Happy news about your great-nephew! Congratulations!

I like your character. Is she a new creation?

Are you familiar with Chicago? I love that city -- it has a character all its own.

  3. I'm working a character for my next novel:

    1. Either Barbara Innis or Jennifer Maldin…I’m not sure anymore.

    2. I don’t know. Barbara was born here, in this strange compound that feels so unfamiliar. These people claim not to observe birthdays, so no one can tell me when I was born or how old I am now. Jennifer was born in Riverside, California, on September 30, 1988.

    3. My parents – if they aren’t a figment of my imagination – are Howard and Heidi Maldin. My dad was in the Army and my mom was an Army wife. They loved each other and me, but they are fading fast. Barbara’s parents are dead – at least that’s what my sister-wives tell me.

    4. No, I had no siblings.

    5. I’m living in a strange compound with a man who claims I’m his husband and four women who claim I’m their sister-wife. I have a daughter, a month-old child with whom I don’t even remember being pregnant. There’s electricity, but no phone. There’s a huge garden. The only transportation I can see are the horses.
